Telvent is seeking a Smart Grid Sales Manager who will actively lead the sales process of Telvent’s Smart Grid Solutions at domestic (US) accounts. Please read full job description below.

JOB DESCRIPTION The Smart Grid Sales Manager will actively lead the sales process of Telvent’s Smart Grid Solutions at domestic (US) accounts. The SG Sales Manager will work closely with other Sales Team members to identify opportunities and create strategies to close profitable business at key strategic accounts. The SG Sales Manager will also work closely with the Director of SG Sales to build and maintain a high volume sales pipeline. Position Responsibilities:
* Close profitable new business * Leverage client relationships to drive new business * Work collaboratively with Business Development personnel and SG Solution Architect to drive new business * Develop competitive strategies and tactics to position Telvent offerings as industry leading solutions * Work collaboratively with the Proposal Team to prepare responses to customer Request for Proposal and Request for Information * Works closely with the Director of Smart Grid Sales to maintain high level of accuracy in sales forecast database * Produce monthly and quarterly forecasts * Coordinates sales activities with business partners for targeted accounts * Travels (up to 50% of the time) to meet company goals and objectives for Sales * Represents Telvent at industry events in a speaking or leadership role.
Job Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
* BS in business management, engineering or related degree * Sales experience in NA Electric Distribution * 10+ years knowledge of and experience in utilities * Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written) * Strong work ethic
